The Lombard bellflower ( Campanula elatinoides ) is a species of the genus bellflower ( Campanula ).

features

The Lombard bellflower is a densely hairy, perennial plant that reaches heights of 10 to 30 centimeters. There are one or more crooked stems . The leaves are heart-shaped and toothed roughly to sharp . Especially the basal leaves have long stalks. The flowers are arranged in a more or less all-round and densely packed inflorescence . The flower stalks are as long as the calyx tips . The calyx lobes are densely hairy white felted and narrowly lanceolate. The calyx bays have no appendages and are pointed. The crown is blue, up to 2 centimeters in size and spread out in a star-like funnel shape. The stylus is three-grained and protrudes far.

The flowering period extends from August to September.

Occurrence

The Lombard bellflower occurs in the southern Bergamasque Alps between Lake Como and Lake Garda . It grows on dolomite and lime on walls and rock overhangs in the montane zone at altitudes of up to 1900 meters. The type is not common.
