The Campbell Head is a massive headland on the west side of Oom Bay at the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Lands .
Participants of the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson discovered this formation in February 1931. Mawson named the cape after Stuart Alexander Caird Campbell (1903-1988) of the Royal Australian Air Force , Pilot on this research trip.
