Campo Carreras is a district of the village of Rodeo Colanzulí in northwest Argentina in the Iruya department of the Salta province . It is located about 7 km from the village of Iruya on a steep slope on the Colanzulí River (also called Iruya ).
Campo Carreras belongs to Finca Santiago , the first community estate in Argentina. The place has a church and a school (escuela Nº4604).
Campo Carreras is connected via the unpaved road Ruta Provincial 165-S to the south with the district of Río Grande , 2 km away , and to the north with the neighboring village of Pueblo Viejo , 3 km away .
There is a bus connection between Campo Carreras and Iruya via Ruta Provincial 133 . The bus stops at the Pie de la Cuesta stop (location: 22 ° 51 ′ S , 65 ° 14 ′ W ). From Iruya you can walk to the village in around three and a half hours.
