The Campo Municipal de Deportes Nuestra Señora de la Caridad is the municipal football stadium in the Spanish city of Villarrobledo , Albacete province in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha . The stadium is also known as El Barranco del Lobo ( German Die Wolfsschlucht ).
history
Construction began in 1957 and the stadium was opened on March 19, 1958. The cost at that time was 375,000 pesetas ; it replaced the Campo de Futbol de San Antón from the 1920s. The team of the football club CP Villarrobledo meets their opponents here. It has 5,500 seats for visitors and consists of the roofed main grandstand with seating and standing room; the uncovered back straight with standing room. Behind the gates there are standing areas with stone steps.
On October 9, 1999 in Villarrobledo the U-21 men's teams of Spain and Israel played against each other to qualify for the 2000 Olympic Football Tournament . The Spaniards won 2-1. Some concerts took place in the stadium. There occurred z. B. Iron Maiden , Héroes del Silencio , The Alan Parsons Project , Mecano , Celtas cortos or Helloween .
