In 1951 the name was changed to Canadian Journal of Medical Sciences , in 1954 the name was changed to Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Physiology . The journal was divided into the Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology in 1964 . The magazine is published twelve times a year. Works from the fields of physiology, nutritional sciences, pharmacology and toxicology are published.
