Canedo de Basto is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Celorico de Basto . The community had 1010 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Canedo de Basto and Corgo were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Canedo de Basto e Corgo . Canedo de Basto is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
