Cannibal - From the Cannibal's Diary is a German thriller with horror , splatter and gore elements that deals with the events surrounding the cannibalism of Armin Meiwe . The film describes in detail how the victim (Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes) and Armin Meiwes got to know each other over the Internet and how the killing and dismantling took place. The film has been heavily criticized for its extremely accurate representation. On May 25, 2007 the film was confiscated nationwide by the Neuburg an der Donau District Court in accordance with Section 184a of the Criminal Code .

action

A cannibal is looking for a victim who is tired of life and lets himself be killed and eaten. After searching for a while, he finds a willing victim on the Internet and makes an appointment with them. When it is supposed to come to the killing, the cannibal gets scruples, which causes the victim to a disappointed departure. However, the cannibal can convince the victim at the train station to give him one more chance. The cannibal overcomes his scruples and kills the victim, then gobs them up and buries some remains that he did not eat in the garden.

production

Large sections of the film are only accompanied by piano music and there is hardly any talk. The film is not limited to the portrayal of the killing, but rather shows the homosexual relationship between perpetrator and victim in a pornographic manner. The cannibalism scene itself is shown exactly, as is the subsequent evisceration and cutting of the victim.
