The Cantwell Glacier is a 6 km long valley glacier in the northern Alaska range in Alaska (USA).
geography
The Cantwell Glacier is located in Denali National Park . The glacier's nutrient zone is on the ridge of the Alaska range. The 500 m wide glacier flows in a south-southeast direction. The lower end of the glacier is at an altitude of about 950 m and forms the origin of Cantwell Creek . The glacier tongue is 20 km west of Cantwell settlement .
The glacier was named after John C. Cantwell , a US officer and explorer of interior Alaska at the end of the 19th century.
