The Cape Child is an isolated chapter in Amery Ice Shelf off the coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Lands . It is just north of the Nella Rim .
According to the information in the directory of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research , Russian scientists gave the object its name.
