The power plant Cipolletti or power plant engineer César Cipolletti ( Spanish Central hidroeléctrica Cipolletti or Central hidroeléctrica Ingeniero César Cipolletti ) is a hydropower plant in the province of Río Negro , Argentina . It is located about 5 km northeast of the city of Cipolletti on a canal that branches off from the Río Neuquén at the village of Barda del Medio . The Julián Romero power plant is located about 10 km up the canal .

The power plant was commissioned in 1956. The installed capacity with one turbine is 4 (or 5.4) MW . The flow rate is 65 m³ / s.
