The Cape Fortress ( English for Cape Fortress ) is a striking cape on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is located just south of Cape Gorbatyi on the banks of Prydz Bay .
Scientists from a 1992-1993 campaign of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions visited it. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it descriptive in 2016.
