background

"Captain Blitz" is actually called Hans-Peter Bergmann. From his father, who is an engineer, he inherited his love for tinkering with all kinds of electronic devices. The books explain that he got his nickname because it often cracks and flashes, but also because he is very clever and often has the right brainstorm at the crucial moments. In the radio plays there is always a very specific noise at these points, so that the listener knows that Captain Blitz has another brilliant idea.

“Blitz”, as he is also called, goes on a hunt for criminals with his little brother and two friends and together they solve many exciting cases.

Text of the theme song

Yes, Captain Blitz and his people are the fright for the gang of criminals.
Yes, Captain Blitz and his people are the fright for the criminal loot.

Characters

Hans-Peter "Captain Blitz" miner

is an intelligent teenager who is atypically thoughtful for his age and has a penchant for detective work. Primarily on his initiative, he and his clique repeatedly investigate crimes. His nickname comes from his interest in electronics in general and computers in particular. “Captain Blitz”, as his friends call him, is in command of his troops and makes all the relevant decisions regarding their joint approach.

Matthias "Matti" Bergmann

is "Captain Blitz '" younger brother. This often feels handicapped by the infantile and sometimes age-related somewhat dumbfounded and fearful brother, which often leads to (harmless) squabbles between the two. Nonetheless, Matti is also a steady and basically loved member of the Blitz team.

Anke

The only girl on Captain Blitz's team. In terms of gender stereotypes, she is usually a little more cautious than her comrades and not infrequently notes her concerns when the overzealous Captain Blitz once again dares to get too close to the criminal adversary. But apart from that, she too is enthusiastically involved in solving the troops' cases.

Pacco

is the son of Italian immigrants. His father runs a pizzeria where the clique regularly stops at the end of an episode to celebrate their success. His strong Italian accent and slight macho airs often bring him the friendly, teasing ridicule of his friends. Pacco is a rather down-to-earth guy who can not shine through intellectual heights, but through courage and determination.
