Cargotram (Zurich)
The Cargotram is a tram - multiple unit of the Zurich tram that carries up to two freight cars so that the people of the city of Zurich can hand in their bulky waste in their own quarters.
The Cargotram has been in operation since spring 2003 and is a collaboration between the Zurich Transport Authority (VBZ) and ERZ Disposal + Recycling Zurich .
At regular intervals, may at the following stations of the vehicle - in each case between 15:00 and 19:00 - the cargo tram flat glass , large metal , bulky waste and earthenware , and the E-Tram electrical appliances are delivered.

This service is free of charge for the population, although only pedestrians, cyclists and users of public transport can benefit from the offer. The Cargotram car has the road number 1922 and was created from a Swiss standard car from the so-called Kurbeli series.
