Cari Zalloni (born August 20, 1937 in Athens - † July 3, 2012 ) was a designer . His father was of Greco-Italian descent and his mother is from Austria. At first he lived in Greece, but his mother moved back to Vienna after the death of his father (1947), and later they moved to Stübing in Styria. In 1956 he obtained the Matura (Abitur) at the Abbey High School in Seckau. He broke off a subsequent chemistry degree in order to study in the master class for design at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna under Professor Oswald Haerdtl. He started working as a designer in 1960.

He went to Siena, Italy, where he designed furniture, but after two years he went to Germany to work as a freelance designer. He designed various glass series for the decorative ceramics company Steuler-Keramik in Höhr-Grenzhausen and for the Maximiliansau glassworks - a glassworks belonging to the WMF Group. He moved to Salzburg in 1962.

He was known as the chief designer of the optics company CAZAL EYEWEAR. In addition, he primarily designed drinking glasses and winter sports equipment . Most recently he lived near Graz. He died as a result of heart surgery.

He was married and had two children.
