Carl-August Witt

Carl-August Witt (born August 23, 1938 in Cologne-Lindenthal ) is a German metallurgist and university professor in retirement.

Life

After graduating from high school in Aachen, Carl-August Witt studied metallurgy at RWTH Aachen University in the 1958 summer semester . In 1959 he joined the Corps Saxonia-Berlin. He graduated in 1965 as a Dipl.-Ing. from.

After graduating, he took a position in industry at the United Aluminum Works in Bonn. From this position he became a Dr.-Ing. In 1968 at the Technical University of Clausthal . PhD. In 1972 he was appointed professor for materials science at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. The main focus of his work was the corrosion behavior of zinc and aluminum . In 1997 he retired. In 1974, Carl-August Witt was publicly appointed and sworn in by the Düsseldorf Chamber of Commerce and Industry as an expert for corrosion on zinc and aluminum materials and is still an expert today .

Carl-August Witt has been a Burschenbierzipfler in the Corps Rhenania ZAB since 1972 .
