Carl-Johan Bernhardt

Carl-Johan Bernhardt (born March 8, 1946 - March 16, 2016 in Falkenberg ) was a Swedish table tennis player who was five times European champion with the Swedish team in the 1960s and 1970s . He has been called up to the national team at least 90 times.

Career

Carl-Johan Bernhardt achieved his first international successes at the European Junior Championships in Duisburg in 1963. Here he was second in the singles behind Istvan Korpa . He also won doubles with Kjell Johansson and mixed with Lena Rundstrom.

From 1964 to 1972 he took part in all five European championships . Here he was European champion every time with the Swedish team. He was nominated for world championships four times in the 1960s . He won bronze in the team competition in 1963 and 1967 .
