It is located in the southern part of the historic Quedlinburg old town at the confluence of Carl-Ritter-Strasse with Steinbrücke. In the Quedlinburg monument register it is registered as a residential and commercial building.
Architecture and history
The building was built between 1900 and 1905 in Art Nouveau style, with historicizing elements also being used. The design of the gable above the building corners as well as the other architectural decorations, in particular the ornamental framework on the second floor, correspond to the design of the opposite, also listed building Steinbrücke 14 , which leads to a special significance of the ensemble, which defines the street scene.
