Carl Arend Friedrich Wiegmann

Carl Arend Friedrich Wiegmann (born March 1, 1836 in Berlin ; † November 9, 1901 in Jena ) was a German malacologist .

He was the son of the zoology professor Arend Friedrich August Wiegmann and studied pharmacy in Berlin. He bought a pharmacy in Jüterbog in 1866 , but settled in Jena in 1877 to devote himself entirely to zoology.
