Carl August Wizani (also Witzani, * 1767 in Dresden ; † April 29, 1818 in Breslau ) was a German etcher and engraver, older brother of the etcher Johann Friedrich Wizani (1770-1838).

Wizani studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Adrian Zingg , later with Johann Christian Klengel .

From 1787 to 1797 he served in the Saxon Artillery Corps. Until 1803 he worked as a drawing teacher at the Freemason Institute in Dresden-Friedrichstadt . In 1812 he came to Wroclaw and from 1817 he restored the art collections of Prince Biron of Curland . There he died by suicide in 1818.
