Carl Blomeyer
Gustav Wilhelm Carl Blomeyer (born March 16, 1844 in Meiningen ; † May 18, 1910 in Jena ) was a German lawyer.
Life
Carl Blomeyer was the son of Ludwig Blomeyer , State Councilor and Minister of State of Saxony-Meiningen . Carl studied law and was successively lecturer at the ministry in Meiningen, regional court director in Rudolstadt , from 1881 higher regional judge in Jena, from 1889 senate president in Jena and between 1904 and 1910 higher regional court president in Jena.
Upon completion of his career, he received honorary citizenship of the city of Jena on January 6, 1910 . After his death he was buried in a grave of honor in the Jena North Cemetery . Carl-Blomeyer-Strasse in Jena is named after him.
His son Karl (born March 31, 1885 in Jena; † December 23, 1953 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a law professor in Jena from 1926 to 1938.
