Carl fried fish
Carl Bratfisch (born December 18, 1829 in Berlin , † January 1, 1901 in Glogau ) was a musician , composer and conductor .
Life
After attending the German School in Berlin and his musical training in playing the piano, violin and clarinet, Carl Bratfisch volunteered for military service as a hoboist candidate in 1847. From 1860 to 1868 he was a staff hoboist with the Royal Prussian 58th Infantry Regiment in Glogau. He then worked as an organist and music director in Glogau. He composed sacred and secular musical works, including the “ Steinmetz-March ”, which he dedicated to Karl Friedrich von Steinmetz , Colonel of the Royal Prussian Fusilier Regiment 37 in Posen, in 1866.
