Carl Effner
Carl Effner Sr. (* Munich April 12, 1792 ; † Munich-St.Anna July 22, 1870 ) was a royal Bavarian head gardener .
Carl Effner came from the royal Bavarian court gardener dynasty Effner . His grandfather was the famous court architect Joseph Effner (1687–1745) and his father the Nymphenburg court gardener Johann Joseph Effner. He was married to the brewmaster's daughter Agnes Friedel and became the father of the famous court garden director and garden designer Carl von Effner (1831–1884). Journeyman journeys took him to Vienna, Paris (1812) and Berlin. From 1819 to 1852 he was the court kitchen gardener in Munich-Lehel. In 1852 he was appointed head gardener of all royal gardens.
