Carl Ferdinand Foxes
Carl Ferdinand Füchs (born February 11, 1811 in Vienna ; † January 7, 1848 there ) was an Austrian composer and violinist .
Life
Carl Ferdinand Füchs was a violin student of Friedrich Wilhelm Pixis in Prague and at the same time a composition student of Friedrich Dionys Weber . In 1832 he passed his exams there and went back to Vienna.
Here he worked as a musician (debut at the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde ) and in the orchestra of the Kärntnertortheater and throughout his life as a composer and choir director of the Vienna Men's Choir Association .
