Carl Friedrich Ockert
Carl Friedrich Ockert (also Karl Friedrich, born May 1, 1825 in Dresden , † 1899 in Munich ) was a German landscape, hunting and animal painter from the Munich School .
Ockert studied from 1841 at the Dresden Art Academy .
After graduating, he initially created small-format landscape paintings. From 1853 he worked in Munich, where he specialized in deer depictions.
Seventeen of his hunting pictures are in the collections of the Munich City Museum .
In 1867 he published “A hunting album for all friends of the noble forest industry” at Franz Hanfstaengl Verlag in Munich . Painted by Carl Ockert ”.
In 1920 his "Jagd-Album" was published posthumously by Hanfstaengl-Verlag. Thirty sketches from life in nature ”.
