Carl Friedrich Rudolf Klee

Baron Carl Friedrich Rudolf von der Klee (* 1803 in Ahlden (Aller) ; † 1853 ) was a German diplomat and Hanseatic consul in Central America .

He came to Guatemala in 1827 , married Josefa Guillen de Ubico in 1830 and settled in Guatemala City. He founded the trading company Elster, Klee & Co. , which he Ure Skinner in the trading house with his partner George & Co. Klee, Skinner brought forth. This developed into the most productive cochineal company.

On October 20, 1841, Carl Friedrich Rudolf Klee became consul for Central America, on October 27, 1841, and on December 14, 1842, Lübeck. In 1844 he became consul general of the Hanseatic cities. In 1845 Carl Friedrich Rudolf Klee became Prussian Consul General and Austrian and Hanover Consul for Central America.

Carl Friedrich Rudolf Klee was naturalized as a subject of Victoria (United Kingdom) to Mr. McKlee .
