Carl Geisheim
Johann Carl Wilhelm Geisheim (born September 6, 1784 in Breslau ; † January 29, 1847 there ) was a German teacher and poet.
Life
After attending the St. Elisabeth high school in Breslau, Geisheim studied philology in Halle from 1803 to 1806 and, after completing his university days, worked as a teacher in Breslau, from 1811 until his death at St. Elisabeth. Geisheim published the weekly Der Hausfreund from 1821 to 1832 (1832–1833 Der Humorist ), which had a large readership. He translated three satires by Horace ; his dramatic attempts received little attention. His lyrical works appeared in two volumes in 1839.
