Carl Gottlob von Leubnitz

Carl Gottlob von Leubnitz (born August 12, 1667 in Friedersdorf , † April 14, 1741 in Dresden ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon civil servant. He came from the noble family von Leubnitz.

In 1697 he acquired the manor in Olbernhau in the Ore Mountains . He leased the Frauenstein office in 1700. He is first mentioned in 1716 as the owner of the manor in Possendorf. From 1720 he also owned the estate at Obernaundorf near Rabenau .

In 1719 he was named Hofjägermeister, director and chief inspector of all rafts, Kammer- and Bergrat, Landjägermeister in the Erzgebirge district, governor of Frauenstein and Lauterstein in Olbernhau .

He had two wives, first Johanne Sabinne von Tromsdorf, with whom he had the children Friderica Sybille and Ernestine Sophia, and the second Johanna Sophia von Schauroth, with whom he had the children Johanne Louise and Friedrich Gottlob († 1746).

In 1741 Carl Gottlob von Leubnitz was buried in the cemetery of the Olbernhau Church (today the City Church) in the grave pavilion of the manor family Oehmichen.
