Carl Gruner (born January 2, 1878 in Konstanz , † June 25, 1967 ) was a German engineer and city ​​councilor of Konstanz during the Nazi era .

Life

Carl Gruner studied mechanical engineering in Karlsruhe . From 1922 to 1929 he was director of the AG for mechanical engineering in Konstanz, and from 1929 to 1933 liquidator of this company and freelance engineer. In 1929 he joined the NSDAP . From 1933 he was a city councilor. In mid-March of the same year he accused Fritz Arnold of burning incriminating documents. Thereupon Arnold came into custody and Gruner took over his role as head of the technical works in Konstanz .

In May 1945 he was deposed by the French military government . After that he was retired .
