Carl Hehner (politician, 1816)

Heinrich Carl August Hehner (born February 1, 1816 in Limburg an der Lahn , † June 1, 1869 in Eichberg ) was a German lawyer and member of parliament.

Life

Hehner was the son of bailiff Heinrich Karl August Hehner (1790–1842) and his wife Maria Susanna nee Massing (1815–1828). He was of Protestant denomination and married on May 24, 1837 in Neunkirchen (Westerwald) Friederike Louise Henriette Thies (born January 27, 1821 in Seck; † May 6, 1853 in Rennerod), the daughter of the chief forester Anton Thies.

He attended the public school in Reichelsheim in the Wetterau and from 1830 to 1834 the grammar school Philippinum Weilburg . From 1834 to 1836 he studied law at the Universities of Marburg and Göttingen. After completing his studies, he became official secretary in the Rennerod office and then a lawyer in Limburg an der Lahn.

During the March Revolution he was politically active. From 1848 to 1851 he was a member of the assembly of estates of the Duchy of Nassau for constituency II Rennerod / Marienberg. In the state parliament he joined the Left Club. In June 1849 he was a participant in the Idstein Democratic Congress .

He died in the Eichberg state hospital .
