Carl Koehn

Carl Köhn (born March 8, 1889 in Misdroy , Usedom-Wollin district ; † August 26, 1975 on Heligoland ) was a Lower Saxony politician ( GB / BHE ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Köhn first attended elementary school for four years and then switched to secondary school . After graduating from school he began his apprenticeship and training as a ship and mechanical engineer . In the First World War he was a war participant between 1914 and 1918. During the war he suffered a serious wound to his right forearm and right lower leg. In 1919 he was dismissed from military service as a severely disabled person. Due to the war damage, he began retraining for the hotel and restaurant trade. In 1923 he took over the management of large hotels and guest houses on the Baltic coast .

Since 1919 Köhn was organized as a union. He was a long-time councilor and moved to Silesia , Giant Mountains in 1936 . In June 1946 he and his family were evacuated from Poland .

In the second electoral term, Köhn was elected a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from May 6, 1951 to May 5, 1955. Here he was a member of the BHE parliamentary group, which from March 16, 1953 called itself GB / BHE parliamentary group.
