Carl Neudel

Carl Neudel (born July 16, 1842 in Baiersdorf ; † June 13, 1897 in Augsburg ) was a Bavarian composer and military bandmaster .

Life

Neudel was a military musician and from 1872 until his death in 1897 he was royal Bavarian Kapellmeister of the military band of the Royal Bavarian 3rd Infantry Regiment "Prince Karl of Bavaria" in Augsburg. His son Albert Neudel (1867–1942) was also active as a composer and conductor. The composer Carl Herchet dedicated the anniversary march to Neudel in 1897 on the occasion of his silver jubilee as conductor .

Works

Since Charles of Bavaria Regiment owner was the regiment, was active in the Neudel, the composer dedicated his Prinz Karl march . This march was included in the 1925 Army March collection as AM II, 247. In addition, Carl Neudel was also known for the Schintling March for piano and the Polka Mazur Frohsinn for orchestra.
