Carl Otto Rothweiler

Carl Otto Rothweiler (born February 1, 1885 in Furtwangen ; † August 30, 1972 ) was a German manager .

Career

Rothweiler attended the secondary and trade school in Furtwangen. In 1905 he joined Westinghouse Electric Corporation in Paris and later worked for the company in Milan, Vienna and Stockholm. From 1911 to 1931 he was director of the Westinghouse incandescent lamp factory (from 1920 Vertex Elektrowerk) in Atzgersdorf near Vienna, then director of Osram Società Riunite Osram Edison-Clerici in Milan. In 1934 he became the deputy managing director of Osram with responsibility for sales at home and abroad, and in 1950 he became a member of the management board. On July 1, 1953, he retired.

He was also a board member of the German Institute for Economic Research and a member of the supervisory board of the Berlin Disconto-Bank.
