Carl Püchler

Carl Püchler (born May 13, 1894 in Warmbrunn ; † February 5, 1949 in Heilbronn ) was a German infantry general in World War II .

Life

Püchler served as an officer in the First World War . After the war he was accepted into the Reichswehr . He served in the Wehrmacht during World War II as commander of the 228 Infantry Regiment and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on December 20, 1941 . Later Püchler was promoted to commander of the 257th Infantry Division . In 1943 he was appointed Commanding General to XXXIX. Panzer Corps moved. Further commands followed in the LXVII until the end of the war . Army Corps , in the LXXXVI. Army Corps as well as in the LXXIV. Army Corps .
