Carl Richardsen

Carl Richardsen (born December 12, 1896 in Süderholz / Schwesing , † May 15, 1977 in Husum ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Career

Richardsen was a farmer by trade . Seriously wounded in the First World War, he was a member of the first appointed state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein in 1946 and sat on the state planning committee. He was also mayor of his home town of Schwesing from 1946 to 1951, and in this function he made particular efforts to look after war displaced persons. Between 1946 and 1970 he was chairman of the agricultural advisory group in Husum Mitte. He is the grandfather of the Austrian pianist Philipp Richardsen .
