Carl von Breuning

Carl Philipp Theodor von Breuning (born August 2, 1808 in Koblenz , † March 14, 1886 in Bad Neuenahr ) was a German lawyer and politician .

The son of the lawyer Christoph von Breuning (1771–1841) studied law in Bonn and Berlin from 1826 to 1830 . From 1836 to 1841 he worked as a court assessor in Koblenz, Trier and Elberfeld, from 1841 to 1843 in Kleve and then in Aachen . From 1850 to 1868 he was Chief Public Prosecutor in Koblenz, from 1868 to 1874 President of the Cologne Regional Court, and from 1874 to 1882 President of the Koblenz Regional Court.

He sat from May 26, 1848 to May 4, 1849 in the Frankfurt National Assembly for the Rhineland Province ( Herzogenrath ) and belonged to the Augsburger Hof parliamentary group . In June 1849 he was a member of the Gotha post-parliament .
