Carl von Viebahn

Johann Georg Carl Konrad von Viebahn , also: Karl von Viebahn , (* May 28, 1800 in Soest ; † January 17, 1876 in Siegen ) was the royal mayor of Siegen from 1836 to 1837 .

Life

Carl von Viebahn came from a family of officers and civil servants who were ennobled by the Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm I in 1728 and were Christian and patriotic . His parents were Johann Levin von Viebahn (* November 1755; † October 8, 1813) and his wife Henriette Konradine Sophie Spener (* June 3, 1766; † April 18, 1851). His brother was the district president of Opole, Georg von Viebahn ; his nephews were the Prussian generals Rudolf von Viebahn and Ferdinand von Viebahn as well as the lieutenant general and evangelist Georg von Viebahn .

Von Viebahn was a lawyer and notary as well as court director in Siegen. He was appointed to the judiciary . In 1873 he retired.

From 1836 to 1837, Carl von Viebahn was the successor of Friedrich Carl's trainer as the royal mayor of Siegen.

Viebahn married Katharine Amalie Keller on August 24, 1830 in Siegen (* November 8, 1806; † February 18, 1871). The couple had several children:
