Carlo Bazzi
Carlo Bazzi (born July 6, 1875 in Turin , † May 7, 1947 in Milan ) was an Italian painter, glass painter and co-founder of a stained glass factory.
Life
Bazzi studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera with Giuseppe Bertini and Vespasiano Bignami . He initially devoted himself to mountain landscape and marine painting, then to glass painting. He founded in 1906 together with Salvatore Corvaya the Vetreria Corvaya e Bazzi . Pictures by Bazzi were in the collection of the Banca Commerciale Italiana .
Artistic glass
Carlo Bazzi's drawings were then used for ornate stained glass windows known for the colors and details of the details, while Corvaya was particularly involved in the production and management of the art workshop.
Carlo Bazzi's art workshop became internationally famous in the early twentieth century for the rarity and perfection of the windows in a type of cloisonné technique. With this technique, extremely refined work was carried out with an infinite variety in the gradation of colors.
