Montépilloy is a French municipality with 138 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France (before 2016 Picardy ). Montépilloy belongs to the Arrondissement of Senlis and the canton of Pont-Sainte-Maxence ( Senlis until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Montépillusiens .

geography

Montépilloy is about seven kilometers east of Senlis . Montépilloy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rully in the north, Fresnoy-le-Luat in the east, Baron in the southeast, Borest in the south and west and Barbery in the northwest.

history

On August 15, 1429 there was a battle between Montépilloy and Mont-l'Évêque during the Hundred Years War . The French troops, u. a. led by Charles VII of France and Joan of Arc , won over the English army worm, led by Duke John Lancaster .
