Ver-sur-Launette is a French commune with 1,159 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Senlis and the canton of Nanteuil-le-Haudouin .
geography
The municipality of Ver-sur-Launette is located about 30 kilometers northeast of Paris , on the edge of the Forêt d'Ermenonville, which covers over 3000 hectares . It is one of the 59 municipalities of the Oise-Pays de France Regional Nature Park, established in 2004 . Neighboring communities of Ver are Fontaine-Chaalis and Ermenonville in the north, Ève in the southeast, Othis in the south and Mortefontaine in the west.
history
Ver-sur-Launette was the site of a royal palace of the Carolingian . In the year 755, Pippin the Younger proclaimed the “Capitular of Ver” as a first attempt to standardize measurements, weights and coins in the Franconian Empire . In December 844, a synod took place in Ver , at which the bishops of the west of France made a decision against attacks by the nobility on church property, but this was rejected as too radical by King Charles the Bald .
