Balagny-sur-Thérain is a French commune with 1,723 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Senlis and is part of the Communauté de communes Thelloise and the canton of Montataire (until 2015: canton of Neuilly-en-Thelle ). The inhabitants are called Balanéens .
geography
Balagny-sur-Thérain is located in the Pays de Thelle , about 20 kilometers northwest of Senlis and about ten kilometers west-northwest of Creil , on Thérain , which forms the eastern municipal border. Balagny-sur-Thérain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mouy in the north and north-west, Bury in the east and north-east, Cires-lès-Mello in the south and south-east, Foulanges in the south and Ully-Saint-George in the west and south-west.
