Mareuil-sur-Ourcq is a French commune with 1,613 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Oise in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Senlis and the canton of Nanteuil-le-Haudouin (until 2015: canton of Betz ). The inhabitants are called Mareuillois .

Mareuil-sur-Ourcq is located about 45 kilometers northeast of Paris on the Ourcq and the Canal de l'Ourcq . Mareuil-sur-Ourcq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Villeneuve-sous-Thury in the north and north-west, Marolles in the north and east, Montigny-l'Allier in the south-east, Neufchelles in the south and south-west, Rouvres-en-Multien in the south-west, Boullarre in the west and southwest and Thury-en-Valois in the west.
