Montigny-l'Allier is a French municipality with 274 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Thierry and is part of the canton of Villers-Cotterêts .

geography

The community is located on the north bank of the Clignon River , a left tributary of the Ourcq , is bounded to the west by the Ourcq, around 26.5 kilometers west of Château-Thierry on the D9 departmental road. It includes the districts of Moisy with La Comanderie and Guillouvray in the north. Neighboring municipalities are Brumetz in the East, in the Seine-et-Marne located Coulombs-en-Valois and Crouy-sur-Ourcq in the south, in the Oise located Neufchelles and Mareuil-sur-Ourcq in the West, an exclave of Marolles and Chézy -en-Orxois in the north.
