The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Thierry and is part of the canton of Essômes-sur-Marne (formerly: canton of Condé-en-Brie ).

Located around 14 kilometers south-southeast of Château-Thierry on the plateau in the former Brie Champenoise with the districts Le Petit Bellevalle, Le Grand Bellevalle, Les Maisons Maquet, Le Fort de la Ville, Les Savards, Vinaudreux and Chef de la Ville mainly west of the D1 to Montmirail .
