Barzy-sur-Marne is a French commune with a population of 384 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Thierry and is part of the canton of Essômes-sur-Marne (formerly: Condé-en-Brie).

geography

Barzy-sur-Marne is about 15 kilometers east of Château-Thierry on the north bank of the Marne . The border to the neighboring town of Jaulgonne to the west is mainly formed by the Ru de la Belle Aulne belly. The northern part of the municipality is in the Forêt de Ris forest. The districts Marcilly (with Mairie) and Rosay belong to the municipality upstream of the Marne.

Barzy-sur-Marne is part of the Champagne wine-growing region, although it is outside the region .
