Nesles-la-Montagne is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Étampes-sur-Marne and Chierry in the north, Blesmes in the east and northeast, Courboin in the east, Montlevon in the southeast, Viffort and Montfaucon in the south, Essises in the southwest, Chézy-sur-Marne in the West and south-west and Nogentel in the west and north-west.
