Mézy-Moulins is a French municipality with 517 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France (former Region: Picardie ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Thierry and is part of the canton of Essômes-sur-Marne (formerly: canton of Condé-en-Brie ).
geography
The municipality in the Omois countryside is around 10 km (road distance) east of Château-Thierry on the south bank of the Marne . Mézy with a freight station on the railway line from Château-Thierry to Dormans and on to Épernay and the junction of the disused railway line via Condé-en-Brie to Montmirail (Marne) is located on the D4 departmental road, which crosses the Marne on a bridge. The wine-growing Moulins is located east of the Surmelin river , which flows into the Marne here, on the D1003 departmental road. Beyond the Marne, the municipality borders on Chartèves and Mont-Saint-Père. The municipality borders on Crézancy to the south and Fossoy to the southwest .
