Martin Mittag (born March 3, 1982 in Coburg ) is a German CSU politician . He represents the constituency of Coburg in the Bavarian state parliament . Before that he was the 1st mayor of the city of Sesslach .

Life

Mittag comes from a family of innkeepers and completed an apprenticeship as an insurance and finance businessman after completing secondary school . He practiced this profession until he was elected mayor. He lives in Seßlach with his wife Julia Mittag (née Bach).

politics

Martin Mittag has been a member of the CSU since 2001 and took over the chairmanship of the Coburg-Land district association in 2015.

Public offices

Since 2002, Mittag has been a member of the city council of Seßlach. In March 2014, he was elected First Mayor of his hometown. This office held noon until his election to the state parliament in 2018. In the state election on October 14, 2018 , he was elected as a direct candidate in the Coburg constituency in the Bavarian state parliament. Noon received 36.1 percent of the first votes. Mittag is currently a member of the Committee for Health and Care and a member of the Committee for Economics, Regional Development, Energy, Media and Digitization.

Since 2008, Mittag has been a member of the district council of the Coburg district .

Private

Martin Mittag is married and lives in his hometown of Seßlach.
