Andreas Jackel

Andreas Jäckel (born July 24, 1965 in Augsburg ) is a German CSU politician .

In the state elections on October 14, 2018 , he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament as a direct candidate in the Augsburg-Stadt-Ost constituency. Jäckel received 30.8 percent of the first votes. There Jäckel is a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs, Youth and Family and a member of the Committee on Public Service Issues.

Jäckel attended high school near St. Stephan in Augsburg from 1975 to 1984 , where he graduated from high school. After training as a banker, he did his basic military service in Roth and Lechfeld. He then returned to the Kreissparkasse Augsburg and completed the course to become a savings bank specialist in 1989, and in 1992 to become a savings bank manager.

He has been a member of the CSU since 1987 and has been a member of the Augsburg city council since 2008.
