The canton of Villers-Cotterets is a French constituency in the Aisne department in the region of Hauts-de-France . It comprises 76 parishes in the arrondissements of Soissons and Château-Thierry , and its bureau centralisateur is in Villers-Cotterêts . It was enlarged considerably in 2015 as a result of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons.

Until the reorganization, the canton of Villers-Cotterêts included the 20 municipalities of Ancienville , Corcy , Coyolles , Dampleux , Faverolles , Fleury , Haramont , Largny-sur-Automne , Longpont , Louâtre , Montgobert , Noroy-sur-Ourcq , Oigny-en-Valois , Puiseux-en-Retz , Retheuil , Soucy , Taillefontaine , Villers-Cotterêts , Villers-Hélon and Vivières . Its layout corresponded to an area of 240.42 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 0236.
