The community on the Ruisseau de Longavesne brook, which flows into the Aisne , with the districts Longavesne, L'Épine, Le Ravi Cholet and L'Essart is located around 6 km north of Villers-Cotterêts on the D81 departmental road on the northern edge of the Forêt de Retz domain forest . Neighboring municipalities are Mortefontaine in the north, Soucy and Puiseux-en-Retz in the east, Villers-Cotterêts in the south, Haramont in the southwest and Taillefontaine in the west. In the south, the municipality ends in the forest on the Route du Faîte, which follows the ridge.
